Helping Hands of Orange County provides practical, direct support to children, families, veterans, and individuals facing hardship throughout Orange County, New York. Through food assistance, essential items, children's programs, seasonal initiatives, and community partnerships, we work to meet immediate needs while helping our neighbors feel supported, respected, and connected to their community.
Operation Full Plate
Operation Full Plate helps individuals and families experiencing food insecurity access nutritious food and everyday essentials. Through community donations, partnerships, and direct outreach, Helping Hands of Orange County works to ensure our neighbors have food on the table when they need it most.
Helping Hands Essential Program
Our Helping Hands Essential Program provides individuals and families facing hardship with everyday necessities, including clothing, hygiene products, household essentials, and other basic-needs items. By responding to immediate needs, we help our neighbors navigate difficult times with dignity and support.
Children & School Support
We help local children start each school year prepared and confident by providing backpacks, school supplies, clothing, coats, and other essential items. Working with schools, social workers, and community partners helps us identify needs and reach children who can benefit most from additional support.
Veteran Support
Helping Hands of Orange County is committed to supporting local veterans and their families. We provide essential items, community-based assistance, and connections to available resources while working with local partners to help address the needs of those who have served our country.
Toy & Joy Holiday Drive
Our Toy & Joy Holiday Program helps bring the spirit of the season to local children and families experiencing hardship. Through generous community donations, we collect and distribute new toys, clothing, and other requested items to help make the holidays a little brighter for families throughout Orange County.
